Classic

Sitio Kalinaw

Battle royale. Parachute in, loot, outlast the forcefield. Day and night change every 5 minutes. The last team standing wins.

Deathmatch

Lawless Sub

Up to three teams of 7. Pick a primary and a secondary gun; everyone starts with armour and a helmet. No respawns.

Matches start by themselves a minute after the first player arrives, sooner when everyone is Ready. Bots fill the empty seats. Join during a match to watch it, then play the next one.

Get the game

Your game must be the same version as the servers: 0.15.0.

Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit

  1. Download AetherionLauncher.exe and open it.
  2. If Windows says Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway. The launcher is not code-signed yet.
  3. The launcher installs itself for your user (no admin needed) and adds a Start menu and desktop shortcut. Press Install to download the game: 1.11 GB download, 1.82 GB on disk.
  4. Press Play. Later updates download only what changed.

Already installed? Open Aetherion Project from the Start menu. If it shows Update, press it, then Play.

Android

Android 7.0 or newer, 64-bit · about 1.2 GB free space

  1. On your phone, download the APK. It is 569 MB, so use Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the downloaded file. If asked, allow your browser to install unknown apps.
  3. If Play Protect warns about an unknown app, tap More details, then Install anyway.
  4. For a new version, download the APK again and install it over the old one. Your profile stays.

Black screen or a crash when the game starts? Install the compatibility build (569 MB) instead. It draws with OpenGL, which older phones handle better.

How to playtest

Play together: agree on a time with the other testers so you land in the same match.

  1. Set your name

    Open Profile in the main menu and type the name other players will see.

  2. Choose a mode

    On Home, pick Classic (battle royale) or Deathmatch.

  3. Tap Play online

    Under Official server · Singapore, tap Play online. You join that mode's server in one tap.

  4. Wait for the drop

    The match starts a minute after the first player arrives, or sooner once everyone taps Ready. If a match is already running, you watch it and play the next one.

Play now on the Home screen is offline practice against bots. Use it to learn the controls while you wait for other testers.

What's new in 0.15.0

  • Official servers are online: Classic on Sitio Kalinaw and Deathmatch on Lawless Sub, hosted in Singapore, open all day.
  • PLAY ONLINE on the home screen joins the official server for your mode in one tap.
  • Official matches start by themselves a minute after the first player arrives, sooner when everyone is Ready; bots fill the empty seats.
  • Join during a match to watch it, then play the next one.
  • The new Aetherion Launcher installs the game and downloads only what changed in each update.
